Donors are a critical aspect of Olympia Early Learning Center. As a not-for-profit corporation which provides quality early learning for all children in the Thurston County area, no matter the level of income, we depend upon support from the community in order to offer tuition reduction for families who cannot otherwise receive this service.
We also plan and implement several fundraising events each year. Our largest events are the sale of strawberry shortcake at LakeFair each summer and the annual Fall Family support Center auction, which we partner with. These events and other fundraising and educational events require a number of volunteers. If you wish to participate with our organization, please let us know. There are many fun opportunities.
We also have two wonderful groups of community members who specifically help us through a variety of methods and functions. These are The Friends, who meet regularly and act as ambassadors for us in the community, help with fundraising, sewing, serving and miscellaneous other issues, and the Facilities Committee, which provides us with support for upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, as well as supervise building and grounds projects such as happen during United Way Day of Caring each Fall.
